Kimberley has an amazing ability as a teacher - she is creative, sensitive and informative. She has total empathy with her students and her overriding aim is to teach at the highest level. An important and sometimes difficult aspect of learning Reiki is how to convey to the client "feed back" after a session.

Under Kimberley's guidance, she teaches you how to interpret the feelings you receive in a clear and concise manner and how to explain them to your client in relation to their physical and emotional needs. Reiki Therapy Case Study

WHEN Pam Morey was given the devastating news that she may have only two years to live, she and her husband Roy were thrown into turmoil. It was the second time Pam, 64, had been diagnosed with the disease. She was operated on for bowel cancer and successfully treated.

But in June 2009 it was discovered that she had developed cancer of the liver. "It was devastating," recalled Roy, 64. "We couldn't believe the cancer had come back." Pam has always had a positive outlook and although the diagnosis was the worst possible news, she was determined to face up to the disease.

"We were looking at all the options and saw that the Macmillan cancer charity recommends Reiki to help cancer patients to relax." said Roy.

The couple, who live in Thatcham and run their own catering company, tracked down Reiki Master Kimberley Solari who is based in Headley.

Pam said: "I admit I was sceptical in the beginning but Kimberely has helped me to relax and I really enjoy the crystal bowls," she said.

"I cajoled Pam into coming in the first place as she really wasn't sure about it. But now she really looks forward to coming here," he said.

As well as having chemotherapy to control the cancer, Pam has undertaken a vigorous routine of dietary supplements and twice weekly Reiki sessions.
"I am drinking more wheatgrass than you would think it humanly possible to consume," she joked. As a result Pam has seen some incredible results. At the outset she was given CEA blood tests that can pinpoint the cancer activity in her body. A reading for a healthy person would be between two and four point nine - Pam's first test gave a reading of 400 and a month later it was 900.

"She was having the chemotherapy, taking the dietary supplements and having regular Reiki - and she has seen those readings steadily fall. "And the most recent test showed she was down to a reading of four. "It's nothing short of spectacular and in my own mind I know it's not just down to the chemo," said Roy.

And Pam is obviously overjoyed.
"The Reiki has definitely helped - it is a combination of all three things that has helped me get to this point," she said.

Kimberley Solari has helped many cancer patients cope with the orthodox treatments that can leave their bodies depleted and weary.

Roy said they had been able to cope with the pressure of uncertainty that cancer presents by being completely honest with each other.

"We both have our moments. I try to be strong for Pam and she does the same for me. "None of us knows what is around the corner - I just want to make sure that Pam has the best life I can help her have," he said.

And Roy has benefited from Reiki too.
"Through all of this with Pam, I have been trying to run a business too so the Reiki has helped me cope with the stress.
"After I finish work I come here and chill out. That night I sleep like a baby and I feel so much better," he said.

Coping with the cancer journey together, has brought Roy and Pam even closer together as a couple, explained Roy.
"We've been married for 42 years and since last June we have been a lot closer.
"We look at each other in a different way - it has changed the way we view life," he said.
